Dexcom CFO Jereme Sylvain Takes on Chief Operations Role

Dexcom revealed that it’s promoted Jereme Sylvain to the chief operating officer (COO) role, in addition to his duties as chief financial officer (CFO).

Sylvain joined the San Diego, California-based continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) tech company in 2018. He’s held tenure as Dexcom’s executive VP and CFO since 2021.

He holds over 25 years of experience in the medical device, healthcare, and biotech industries. Before beginning at Dexcom, Sylvain held leadership positions at NuVasive (now Globus Medical) and Thermo Fisher. He began his career at Ernst & Young.

The company said that Sylvain has built a strong finance leadership team and helped drive growth and margin expansion. He also boasts a track record of cross-functional execution, combining strategic judgment, operational discipline, and customer focus to support Dexcom’s next growth phase.

Last month, the company released results from its CONNECT trial of the G7 CGM for Type 2 diabetes. Data from the 440-participant study showed that G7 significantly reduces A1C and improves glucose control in people with Type 2 diabetes who do ’t use insulin, compared with routine care using self-monitoring of blood glucose.
